The PGH Mobile Toolbox is a library of landscaping tools available for free to resident groups and community organizations in Allegheny County to use in the care and stewardship of vacant land and community green spaces. This first-of-its-kind resource is perfect for groups with at least 5 volunteers organizing neighborhood cleanups, vacant lot beautification, or implementing and maintaining food gardens, green infrastructure, trails, or general community gathering spaces. Groups accessing the toolbox can also request nonprofit support for their projects.

Created by the nonprofit Grounded Strategies, the PGH Mobile Toolbox supports a growing network of residents who are ready to mobilize to transform their communities. This is an excellent example of a shared resource.
