• Cost of Baltimore’s Vacant Housing report found the City spends about $100M each year on vacant houses and has lost over $100M in revenue due to vacant houses. It also found that houses with a vacant property within 75 feet sold for 30% less and houses with a vacant property 75-200 feet away sold for nearly 8% less.
• Greater Ohio Cost of Vacant Property Study examined eight Ohio cities, finding 25,000 vacant properties and $15 million in annual city service costs, and $49 million in cumulative lost property tax revenues to local governments and school districts.
