Associate Director, Technical Assistance


Nora Daly is an Associate Director of Technical Assistance at the Center for Community Progress. Daly is an experienced nonprofit professional passionate about partnering with communities to build power through research and policy analysis. She leverages her skills to manage and lead teams that deliver technical support to state and local stakeholders seeking to more equitably, efficiently, and effectively address vacant, abandoned, and deteriorated properties. 

Daly’s previous work includes advancing housing affordability and stability for residents in the Northern Virginia region and collaborating with state and local governments, philanthropic funders, and community-based organizations across the US to assess community needs and evaluate public health policies and programs. As a member of the Technical Assistance team at Community Progress, Daly draws on her background in community engagement, mixed methods research, and policy analysis to support communities affected by systemic vacancy through stakeholder engagement, policy and data analysis, and development of policy, program, and practice recommendations.

Daly received her bachelor’s from New York University. She completed dual master’s degrees in public health and social work at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is based in Washington, DC.
