The Road Ahead for Land Banks
Opportunities for Growth and Greater Equity
Thursday, November 21, 2024 | 12:00 PM ET | Online
Land banks’ flexibility to respond to local challenges and opportunities sets them apart from other entities. Throughout the decades, land banks continued to evolve and respond to meet the changing needs of the communities they serve—more important than ever given present realities of the real estate market and community and economic development challenges.
In 2023, Community Progress conducted the biennial State of Land Banking Survey to understand where the land bank field is now and where it is headed. Our new publication, The Road Ahead for Land Banks: Opportunities for Growth and Greater Equity, highlights key survey findings alongside case studies and context from our extensive experience with land banks across the country.
Join this webinar to:
- Hear about innovative programs land banks implemented to advance equity in addressing vacant, abandoned, and deteriorated properties
- Discover key findings from the 2023 State of Land Banking Survey
- Learn new strategies to better address communities’ changing needs through land banking
Speakers:
- Brian Larkin – Director, National Land Bank Network, Center for Community Progress
- Michelle Thompson – Executive Director, Michigan Land Bank Association
