PHS Green Equity Initiative

The Green Equity Initiative by the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society (PHS) is a proposal for environmental neighborhood investment in Philadelphia in the form of neighborhood-based greening solutions. The initiative calls or stabilization of vacant land, tree planting, community gardens, and workforce training and development through $10 million investment. Setting specific goals, the PHS looks to increase the quality of life for Philadelphians by using vacant land and its surrounding features for policy advocating at the local level.
