Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development’s Brownfield Remediation and Development Program

The Brownfield Remediation and Development Program provides $24.6 million in state funding to remediate 41 VAD properties across Connecticut. Through the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development’s (DECD) of the state, the first round released funding for 19 projects. As an effort to turn these VAD properties into assets, the substantial investment is an example of how strategic policy makes way for invigorating communities.
