As housing markets recover and boom, not every neighborhood sees equal growth. Understanding the different submarkets within your city is critical to implementing the right vacant, abandoned, and deteriorated property strategies.

This webinar will cover how to use data you are likely already collecting to understand how the housing market is functioning in different neighborhoods. As part of crafting a five-year strategic plan, the Kalamazoo County Land Bank looked at market data to help inform where to focus certain activities. We’ll walk through part of that analysis to demonstrate how to use market data to inform your VAD property strategies, from land banking to code enforcement.

Join this webinar to:

  • Understand types and sources of market data
  • Learn how to use market data to inform vacant property strategies, from land banking to code enforcement
  • Hear how the Kalamazoo County Land Bank used market and other data to inform strategic direction and make prioritization decisions

Speakers:

  • Janell O’Keefe – Associate Director, Technical Assistance, Center for Community Progress
  • Zac Bauer – Executive Director, Kalamazoo County Land Bank Authority
