For Fifth Year in a Row, Revitalization Projects Receive “Public Displays of Affection” For Valentine’s Day (Press Release)

WASHINGTON, D.C. – For Valentine’s Day, the annual #LoveThatLot campaign is encouraging people to engage in “Public Displays of Affection” for outstanding, under-recognized vacant property revitalization efforts.

The Center for Community Progress, the national nonprofit behind the campaign, recommends that interested participants:

  1. Use the #LoveThatLot hashtag to share photos of revitalization projects on social media.
  2. Download and share an e-Valentine (view image) or print off the paper version (view PDF) to send to local revitalization champions.
  3. Host an in-person celebration to recognize and tour a revitalized building or lot.

 

Now in its fifth year, the campaign has attracted attention to hundreds of projects—from pocket parks, to community gardens, to rehabbed homes across the country.
