12032359823_d9a87bbc8b_zYou’ve heard of 311 for city residents, but now there’s a new “311” just for city officials.

The National Resource Network: New Solutions for Cities will act as a 311 hub for city officials across the country to get advice and best-practices, becoming a go-to resource on issues ranging from unemployment, to under-performing schools, to vacant and abandoned properties. To start with, the National Resource Network is piloting in 50 cities across 21 states.

Funded with $10 million from HUD, the Network consortium boasts some of the leading experts in urban affairs and partnerships with over a dozen key organizations, including the Center for Community Progress.

In addition to acting as an information resource, the resource network will also provide on-the-ground technical assistance services as well as opportunities for peer networking and collaboration.

We’re pleased to be a part of this trailblazing effort to revitalize our nation’s cities.
